Klauke is now involved in motor racing – together with TU Berlin in Formula Student!

We are proud to be the new sponsor of the TU Berlin Formula Student Team! The TU Berlin team participates in the Formula Student program, the largest student engineering competition worldwide, and has already achieved impressive top 10 rankings.

But what is Formula Student? Every year, more than 600 teams from all over the world develop their own racing cars and compete against each other. The exciting thing is that everything is built by the students themselves – from the first sketch to the last screw. They have to prove their skills in various disciplines, such as driving competitions, theoretical design evaluations and cost analyses. For the students, this means gaining valuable practical experience, experiencing teamwork and getting a first-hand look at the art of engineering.

And where does Klauke come into play?
The students were able to rely on our tools when installing cable lugs in the electrical systems. Our tools have proven themselves particularly when crimping a wide variety of cable cross-sections – precise, clean and without requiring much force. Exactly what you need for the reliable and durable construction of electrical systems.

The feedback from the students speaks for itself:

‘Have you tried the new Klauke crimping tool for large cable lugs? It requires much less effort and the crimps always turn out well!’

‘With Klauke crimping pliers, you can actually do all generic crimps well.’

The general experience of the electronics engineers in the team was consistently positive.

Our tools are used throughout the entire electrical system, from low-voltage systems with ground connections to high-voltage systems, where they demonstrate their strengths in heavily loaded connections of motors, inverters and switches.

Flexible, compact, reliable – and now also used in motor racing.
