Klauke cable lug production – a journey through our production facility

28 October 2025

We have been manufacturing our own cable lugs at Gustav Klauke GmbH since the 1960s – and have been a reliable partner for decades when it comes to secure electrical connections.

But how is a cable lug made? Today, we take you on a short journey through our production facility.

It all starts in the warehouse, where the raw material is stored, either in the form of bar stock or coil material. From there, the journey through our production facility begins.

The first step is to cut the material precisely. Accuracy is crucial, as this is the only way to ensure that all further processing steps can be carried out reliably. The blanks are then washed in a separate system to remove dirt and residues that could interfere with production in the next steps.

Now we bring the parts into their typical shape. Sawing, pressing and punching create the characteristics that later ensure a secure electrical connection.

This is followed by deburring to ensure that no sharp edges remain.

The cable lugs are then thoroughly washed once again – cleanliness is the basis for perfect quality.

The next stage involves transport and tinning. Here, the cable lugs are given their protective surface. Tinning makes them resistant to corrosion and oxidation and ensures that they can be used reliably even under demanding conditions, whether in small installations or large industrial plants.

Finally, the products are packaged in our logistics site. Here, the finished products are carefully assembled so that they arrive safely at our customers' premises and are ready for immediate use.

With every cable lug, we deliver a piece of safety and confidence in electrical connection.

Curious? Perhaps you'll be there the next time we look behind the scenes of our production facility.
