… is what the one or other might have thought when the lists for the 24-hour race in Remscheid were displayed on the notice boards. However, the number of those who wanted to be a part of the Klauke team, when relay runners were needed from 14.00 on 6 July till 14.00 on 7 July 2019, showed us that many employees had a very strong interest in this event. So Remscheid’s 24-hour run was planned, along with everything normally associated with such things: runners, track marshals, timekeepers and a lot of catering. Now, this successful event has unfortunately already become history, but the next events of this kind are already in the planning phases. Besides, the whole thing was for a very good cause: in addition to the help that the run, organized by St. Bonaventura's Church, brought to a children's aid program in Indonesia and the “Fair World” shop in Lüttringhausen, Klauke sponsored every round with 10 euro, which will go to the Burgholz Child and Youth Hospice. This proved an added motivation for the runners and the 395 laps run resulted in an amazing 3,950 euro for the Hospice.
