Environmental protection – a subject that concerns us all
For every future-oriented company environment protection it is an absolute must. Already since 2003 Klauke is engaged in the project “Ökopropfit” of the local tri-city area of Wuppertal, Remscheid and Solingen.
Today certification demonstrating compliance with the international standard ISO 14001:2004 has taken place. The certification awards companies dealing actively with this subject and having established an appropriate environmental management.

Scrapped cars directive
This EC directive instructs the automotive industry and their subcontractors that starting in 2007, 85% of all automotive parts must be recyclable. The use of materials such as lead, cadmium, hexavalent chrome and mercury is prohibited. Klauke supports this directive and does not use any of the materials just mentioned in its products.
REACh Regulation No. 1907/2006
The company Gustav Klauke is a 'Down Stream User' in the sense of REACh Regulation and has no obligation to register. Our obligation to communicate down our supply chain has been realized in a number of steps. Bases on this regular communication with our suppliers respectively with the entire supply chain we can confirm that non of the substances mentioned in the candidate list in concentration values above the legal thresholds have been found in our products and packaging. At this point we do not anticipate any problems with substances which might not be registered. Most of our components can be substituted if necessary and those which can not be substituted we received the confirmation that they will be continued to be supplied in the future.

Klauke Environmental Guidelines
The environmental guidelines provide clear and uniform directions for implementing the environmental protection objectives in all Klauke corporate divisions.
